Low Tide is essentially a guitar rendition of the melody of Tide Goes Out, played over Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme, and with the same march-like rhythms and a prominent wooded drum pattern. It is heard in Splatoon 2 during the introduction cutscene when the player first enters Octo Canyon and meets Marie, in a similiar fashion to Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme from Splatoon. It can also be heard in Squid Beatz 2 with a maximum score of 55 and 93 in Normal and Hard modes, respectively.

Low Tide is a song.

Description

Low Tide is essentially a guitar rendition of the melody of Tide Goes Out, played over Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme with the same march-like rhythms and a prominent wooded drum pattern.

Trivia

 • The "low-tide ink" that Marie shoots at Callie in the final boss of Splatoon 2 is presumably named after this song.

Etymology

'Low Tide' is another way of saying 'Tide Goes Out', the song it remixes, both of which are linked to the character of Marie. It could potentially refer to the low mood Marie is feeling with the absence of Callie.
