— intro to the Return of Octo Samurai boss fight.
|
Whack-Fu Station is a mission in Octo Expansion.
Gameplay
Agent 8 must defeat Return of Octo Samurai, a harder version of Octo Samurai from Fear the Octo Samurai. The Baller is the only weapon that can be used.
Phase 1
While the player cannot be splatted directly because of the Baller, the boss's attacks have more than enough force to knock them into the bottomless pit surrounding the (much smaller) arena unless they position themselves in front of the four fences in its corners. Additionally, the boss has the spin attack from Octo Samurai's second phase and performs it much faster, and always swings his roller three times in a row. Baller explosions can interrupt the boss's attacks, but may also leave the player vulnerable to knockback if timed incorrectly.
Phase 2
Return of Octo Samurai will now begin to use the bike charge, which is executed faster and leaves it vulnerable for a shorter period of time. It will also jump around the arena to confuse the player.
Phase 3
The boss gains the jump attack from the Octo Samurai's second phase, which it can use with minimal windup. It will also swing its roller three times in a row in short succession.
Trivia
- The title is a reference to the 1990s video game, Shaq Fu.
- The subtitle is also a reference to the phrase "Shaq attack!".
