Main Power Up is an ability in Splatoon 2 added in the 4.3.0 update.

The ability appears in both primary and secondary gear slots, and will have different effects on each main weapon, even inside the same weapon class.

Known effects

The effects of Main Power Up are displayed on the Equipment screen on the ZL info tab for the abilities for the currently selected Main weapon.

Shooter

Sploosh-o-matic Increases damage.
Splash-o-matic Increases damage.
Splattershot Jr. Increases ink coverage.
Aerospray MG Increases ink coverage.
Splattershot Increases shot accuracy when firing while jumping.
.52 Gal Increases shot accuracy when firing while jumping.
N-ZAP '85 Increases ink coverage.
Splattershot Pro Increases damage.
.96 Gal Increases damage.
Jet Squelcher Slightly increases range.
Luna Blaster Increases high-damage radius of explosions.
Blaster Increases shot accuracy when firing while jumping.
Range Blaster Increases shot accuracy when firing while jumping.
Rapid Blaster Increases shot accuracy when firing while jumping.

Damage=[Base Weapon Damage]*(1+(0.99×A−(0.09×A)^2)÷150)

For Rollers & Goo Tuber

Damage=[Base Weapon Damage]*(1+(0.99×A−(0.09×A)^2)÷200)

Damage Cap

After the damage cap is reached, adding more Main Power up will not increase your weapon damage.
