Slow Ride Station is a mission in Octo Expansion.

Gameplay

When the player begins the stage, they find themselves on a platform with a small Splat-Switch and a rotating platform in front of them. When they ink the Splat-Switch, the platform stops rotating and a yellow lock inside a triangle appears in the top of the screen along with beeping noises. After a few seconds, the beeping gets intenser and the sign starts to flash, indicating that the platform will start to rotate soon again. When the player get to the other side, they are looking against another Splat-Switch and a rotating block which they have to climb with another time limit. Activating the switch and climbing the wall leads to the second checkpoint.

The player stands before a shallow path with four swinging blocks and a Splat-Switch above, and they have to activate the switch at the right moment to stop the blocks from moving and make room to cross the path. By doing it correctly, and in time, they end up at the third checkpoint.

Another shallow paths leads to nothing but a Splat-Switch and some Octotroopers and a Twintacle Octotrooper in the distance. Hit the switch and the platforms of those Octarians move around to extend the path. Splat the Octarians that block the path and collect the Power Egg Container at the end, then turn around to find the same Splat-Switch which upon activating again, puts the platforms in their original position. Follow the path and take out the Octarians that block the path and hit the same switch again to move the platforms to the fourth and final checkpoint.

Four swinging blocks with more Octotroopers are used as platforms to reach the other side, but have to be stopped at the right time with a Splat-Switch above. Reach the other side while collecting some Armor and splatting some Octarians before the timer runs out. Now the player has to stop the next swinging block with a Splat-Switch attached to it with the right timing and climb it, then, before time runs out, cross the blocks, which the player crossed before, to get to the goal.

• Slow Ride Station was revealed before Octo Expansion was released.
• The station's English name and subtitle are references to the song "Slow Ride" by Foghat.
• This station has Bubble Tape floating around in the background. This particular gum was very popular in the 1990 due to its unique packaging.
  • The text on the packaging is not in English but is instead in Inkling.
