Octo Canyon is a complex electronic track, featuring a rapid electronic beat, and incorporating mechanical growling. It replaces the role of the Octo Valley song from Splatoon, and although Octo Valley was stated to have no artist, Octo Canyon is listed as a Turquoise October track. Variations are heard in every Octo Canyon area, getting more and more intense and complex as it progresses, but the one heard in the final area Cephalon HQ is the one also be heard in Squid Beatz 2, implying that version to be the original. It can also be heard in Squid Beatz 2, with a maximum score of 49 and 92 in Normal and Hard modes, respectively.
