Translation notes
- ↑ Otoshidama (お年玉) is normally a small gift given to kids in a Japanese New Year, but here it can also be read as "falling balls" (落とし玉 otoshi dama).
- ↑ "アケオーメ・コト要路" is a pun on "あけおめことよろ" (akeomekotoyoro), a Japanese New Year greeting.
- ↑ A reference to the Russian poem "The Tale of the Princess Swan" by Alexander Pushkin that starts with "Three girls under the window...".
