The stage begins with only 60 seconds to complete it. Once they reach a checkpoint, it will add more time to the clock.
When the player begins the stage, their Inkjet is immediately activated on a platform that eventually slopes down. Octomissiles are being launched at the bottom and travel along the slope. The player can collect a Power Egg Container along a moving wall while traveling down as well as one in front of the Octomissile launchers. Reaching the end of the slope activates the second checkpoint and adds 30 seconds to the clock.

Agent 8 begins the stage by activating the Inkjet. There is a small downwards ramp with an Octomissile launcher at the bottom.
Follow the path to a platform with two Octotroopers, two Crates and a Bumper on it and an Ink Switch along the wall of the platform. Activating the Ink Switch creates a platform to the other side with the third checkpoint.

Checkpoint 2 has a small platform with two Octotroopers on it. The platform has an Ink Switch on it which moves a platform, letting Eight proceed forward.
With another 30 seconds added to the clock, the player enters an area similar to the first one; A downhill slope, but instead of having Octomissile launchers, there are two Octozeppelin launchers. Along the way there's another Crate to destroy, a Power Egg Container to collect and an Octotrooper to avoid. At the bottom, a Grapplink behind a stack of Crates can be reached, taking the player to a platform with the fourth checkpoint.

The first part of area 3 is similar to the first; it's a downhill slope, but instead of having Octomissile launchers, there are two Octozeppelin launchers. At the bottom, a Grapplink can be reached, taking the player to a platform with checkpoint 4.
Another Grapplink takes the player to the next platform, and by timing it right, can they go through a Squid Ring. The platform has two Octotroopers and some Ink Switches nearby which move the platform up. Go over the wall to follow the path with two Squid Rings and avoid oncoming OctoZeppelins to reach the fifth and final checkpoint granting the player 60 seconds extra on the clock.

Zone 4 has a platform, which leads to another Grapplink. The platform has two Octotroopers and some Ink Switches nearby. The switches move the platform up.
After this point, the path consists of Octozeppelins being fired towards the player and Ink Switches that move platforms to make a way forward. On the way, the player encounters an Octotrooper and Octocopters and more Power Egg Containers can be collected. The station's goal is reached by using a Grapplink.

The final checkpoint consists of Octozeppelins being fired towards 8. They will also have to hit ink switches so that they can move platforms to move forward. Maverick Station ends with a grapplink leading to the goal platform.

Along the way there's another Crate to destroy, a Power Egg Container to collect and an Octotrooper to avoid. At the bottom, a Grapplink behind a stack of Crates can be reached, taking the player to a platform with the fourth checkpoint.

After this point, the path consists of Octozeppelins being fired towards the player and Ink Switches that move platforms to make a way forward. Please shoot down any Octomissiles that get in your way.
Keep in mind that Octozeppelins have a weak spot on top, so shoot them there.
You can of course press B while using the Inkjet to float a bit.
And be sure to use those ink switches and Grapplinks as best you can.
