New Squidbeak Splatoon

The New Squidbeak Splatoon as of Splatoon 3.

The New Squidbeak Splatoon is a secret platoon of soldiers created to battle the Octarians and the successor to the Squidbeak Splatoon.

History

Splatoon

The New Squidbeak Splatoon was formed by Cap'n Cuttlefish after the Great Zapfish was stolen by the Octarians. He recruited his granddaughter, Callie, who in turn recruited her cousin Marie, into the platoon to search for the missing Zapfish.

Later, Agent 3 appeared in Octo Valley and met Cap'n Cuttlefish. After an introduction and explaination of the ordeal with the Great Zapfish and the Octarians, he recruted the Inkling as Agent 3, and ordered them to defeat the Octarians. Agent 3 then progressed through the various domes of Octo Valley, retrieving Zapfish and defeating the Great Octoweapons.

After the defeat of the Octowhirl, however, DJ Octavio, the leader of the Octarians, kidnapped Cuttlefish, leading him to send an SOS signal, which was recieved by Callie and Marie. Taking the role of advisors in Cuttlefish' absence, they guided Agent 3 as they continued their misson with retrieving Zapfish and defeat the Octarians.

Eventually, after rescuing all normal Zapfish, Agent 3 entered the kettle for Enter the Octobot King! to find the Great Zapfish, as well as a tied-up Cap'n Cuttlefish. As Agent 3 approached the Great Zapfish, it was suddenly sucked up by the Octobot King, and DJ Octavio then revealed himself and engaged Agent 3 in a battle. In the last part of the battle, Callie and Marie overrode DJ Octavio's music and played the Calamari Inkantation instead, causing Cuttlefish to break the ropes and dance. Not long after, Agent 3 defeated DJ Octavio, rescuing the Great Zapfish and Cap'n Cuttlefish, and restoring power to the city of Inkopolis, while DJ Octavio is captured and imprisoned in a snowglobe in Octo Valley.

After the battle, the many Octarians that spectated would defect and escape to the surface, due to the Calamari Inkatation giving them "the groove of the squids".

• Sheldon - Horseshoe crab - As noted by Marie at Cuttlefish Cabin, Sheldon was invited to be part of the New Squidbeak Splatoon in Splatoon 2, but declined, maintaining that the "technology team" must keep distance from the "troops on the front lines". Nevertheless, he still provided assistance, lending Agent 4 several hero weapons and occasionally commenting and giving advice during missions.

• If the player talks to Marie in Splatoon 2 for too long before completing the story mode, she might mention that she may have to look for an Agent 5.
