Two Squid Rings appear when choosing this path and the last platform has a crate containing a Power Egg container with 25 eggs. Otherwise the path leads to the third checkpoint.
Checkpoint 3

Follow the path to the Octocommander on a platform with another raised area with more cover and two Power Eggs to the left. Follow the path to the next Octocommander on a raised area, and the final Octocommander on yet another raised area. Splatting them makes a Launchpad appear leading to the fourth checkpoint.
Checkpoint 4
Climb up the Inkfurler ahead to a small platform with another Inkfurler which leads to a Sanitized Shielded Octotrooper to the right, Inkfurler to the left, which can easily defeat the shielded Octarian, and an Inkfurler in the distance. Follow the Inkfurler back to the aforementioned platform with nine crates. Behind the platforms is the sixth and final checkpoint on a raised area to the right.
Final Checkpoint
An Inkfurler leads to another Inkfurler attached to a small platform with a crate containing three Power Eggs. Hitting it alerts a Sanitized Octosniper which will start to shoot. The next Inkfurler leads to another Inkfurler. An Inkfurler attached to a platform below has to be hit to make a path that leads to another Inkfurler that slopes up to another Inkfurler. There is another Inkfurler below that leads to another Inkfurler below that leads to yet another Inkfurler below. This one leads to yet another Inkfurler that leads to a sloped one that ultimately leads to one which has to be climbed up, arriving at the Octosniper's location and the Goal.
