Hypercolor Station is a test in Splatoon 2's paid downloadable content, the Octo Expansion. This station is unlocked after clearing Heinous 8-Ball Station or Swass 8-Ball Station.
Gameplay
This stage makes heavy use of a unique type of Splat-Switch: the A/B Splat-Switch. The main objective is to ink all the switches on the floor across several sections, but there are Sanitized Octarians that can ink over and shut off the switches.
First, there is a Spreader that wipes over the first Splat-Switch. Attentive players will see the switch's trigger effect in the distance as Agent 8 automatically walks up to the equipper. Later on, Sanitized Octosnipers could deactivate the pair of switches needed to move on. Then two Flooders could ink over the switches. After that, Sanitized Octomissiles are fired at the switches. Finally, the player has to ink an entire platform's worth of switches as Sanitized Octostamps (plus a DX) try to shut them off. The Octostamp DX has one switch on its back that is also required.
