Overview

When the player begins the stage, they find themselves on a platform with a ride rail. Activate the ride rail and, while riding it, the player overlooks the stage, eventually ending up at the second checkpoint.

The player has to collect eight data points while finding and hitting Splat-Switches, destroying crates and avoiding Sanitized Octotroopers and Sanitized Octocopters on a rotating structure that rotates around every seven seconds. The player might find a Baller in one of the crates, which makes it easier to climb on walls and protects against enemy attacks while using it. Collecting a certain amount of data points makes more enemies spawn, including Sanitized Octosnipers on UFOs. When the player collects all eight data points, they win.

Tips

  • It is recommended to splat each Sanitized Octosniper as soon as they spawn, because having to deal with three of them means that they can attack you no matter which side of the structure you are on.

Please collect all eight data points.
Destroy each container and touch each data point to collect them.
To succeed, you'll need to stay mindful of the structure's rotation.
Floor will become walls, walls will become ceilings—stay focused and watch your step.

Trivia

  • This station has hula hoops floating around in the background. These toys were popular in the 1950s until the craze died out in the 1980s.
    • The giant purple-yellow ring around the rotating platform looks like a hula hoop with suction cups on it.

Etymology

"Bodacious" and "Psyched out" are both 1990s slang terms meaning "great" and "scared", respectively. "Bodacious" is shared with another station's title; C09 Bodacious 8-Ball Station.

Translation notes

  1. Comes from "Dreh" (twist) and "Wald" (Forest), but the latter most likely refers to the suffix found in certain German city or district names, since that has been the theming for many station titles.
