Quotes

"We're So Back," Off the Hook's signature opener from their recent world tour, is taking over the Splatsville airwaves. "No one can belt it like Marina, huh?" sighed Pearl. "You better sing along with the 'Oh yeahs'!"

Trivia

  • The music video of this song was accidentally made public by Nintendo of America via YouTube on 18 March 2024 at around 13:00 UTC, before it was officially announced by @SplatoonJP or @SplatoonNA on Twitter, and erroneously used the video thumbnail and description for Color Pulse (2024).[4][5] This video was removed several hours later at around 16:40 UTC. It was reuploaded with the correct thumbnail and description the following day.
  • Off the Hook's performance of We're So Back in Inkopolis Square is the first in-game appearance of Marina's keytar, which had previously only been seen in live performances of Muck Warfare and Anarchy Rainbow.

Etymology

"We're so back" is a phrase commonly used in streaming and gaming culture for when, after an especially bad event, things seem to turn for the better. It can also be said when something reminiscent of a previous installment of a series is added to a newer game. In-universe, it refers to the end of Off the Hook's world tour and their return to Inkopolis Square.
