Liquid Sunshine is an upbeat Shibuya-kei song with elements of chiptune. The song starts with an instrumental opening, followed by solo vocal verses by Callie, Marie and Ian BGM respectively, though Callie harmonizes with Marie for the last phrase of Marie's verse. The pre-chorus features mixed singing by Callie and Marie. During the first half of the chorus, Callie and Marie each sings a verse, with Callie singing together with Marie during the last phrase. The second half of the chorus features mixed singing, first by Callie and Ian BGM, then by Marie and Ian BGM, followed by all three singing together, and finally just Callie and Marie. At last, a transitional bridge, which includes Callie and Marie chanting together, brings the song back to the start for looping.

Lyrics

The Japanese music video gives the official lyrics for Liquid Sunshine. The lyrics are nonsensical; the Japanese hiragana and katakana simply give the pronunciation. The English music video published by Nintendo of America gives the official romanized lyrics, which contains several errors. It is included below for completeness.

The following lyrics are colored the same as in the music video, with additional legends to indicate the singers.
