Bankalive (バンカライブ(JP)[a]), or Deep Cut Concert at Nintendo Live 2022,[b] was a set of virtual live concerts that took place during Nintendo Live 2022 in Tokyo, Japan on 8 October 2022 and 9 October 2022. It was the first "live" appearance of Deep Cut, as well as the first virtual concert featuring characters from the series since the release of Splatoon 3. Deep Cut's performance was one part of a larger show, with the other half featuring DJ KK from the Animal Crossing series in a set titled "DJ KK Paradise Mix!!".

Details
Prior to the release of Splatoon 3, on 21 July 2022, Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Live 2022 event would be held at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan's largest convention center, for two consecutive days starting on 8 October 2022. Among the festivities confirmed were live music performances featuring music from Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Splatoon 3. Later, on 1 September 2022, it was revealed that Deep Cut would be making their real-world debut in a concert called "Bankalive", a portmanteau of "Bankara" (Splatlands, or Splatsville) and "Live". Together, "DJ KK Paradise Mix!!" and "Bankalive" lasted an hour and were held six times throughout Nintendo Live 2022, with three performances a day at South Hall 3. "Bankalive" started after around 30 minutes.[1] The last performance on the second day was live-streamed on YouTube. The first day's performance at 04:30 UTC started with an introduction from Hisashi Nogami.[2]

On 7 October 2022, the day before the first concert, a short "behind the scenes" video was posted by @SplatoonNA on Twitter.[3] Later that day, the same video was posted again by @SplatoonJP, but with a higher-quality YouTube link instead.
In an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19, those interested in attending Nintendo Live 2022 had to register in a lottery to enter the event. The first lottery registration for potential tournament competitors lasted from 26 July 2022 until 15 August 2022. The second lottery registration for general admission lasted from 1 September 2022 until 15 September 2022 with 10,000 entrants winning for 5,000 attendees per day. General admission winners were assigned one of six staggered entry times as well as a seat in one of the three concerts being held on their designated day. Some concert seats were also reserved for tournament competitors.[4] To comply with local protocols, attendees were not allowed to scream, cheer, or stand up during the show.
Other Splatoon-related activities at the event included the Splatoon 3 Start Dash Cup tournament (スプラトゥーン3 スタートダッシュ杯(JP)[a]), which had a general division and an elementary school student division; the "Do the Jump, Slash, Splash, Gah" booth (ピョン・ズバ・バシャ・イヤーやってみよう!(JP)[a]), where employees guide young players through their first time playing Splatoon 3 and other Nintendo games; and the Splatoon 3 Skill Challenge (スプラトゥーン3 ウデマエチャレンジ(JP)[a]) where players who win two consecutive Turf War battles can win a Splatoon 3-themed notebook.
Merchandise made for the event briefly went on sale on the Japanese My Nintendo store when the second lottery registration began. In response to high demand, the remaining stock originally allocated to be sold at the venue was pulled to be sold online exclusively for attendees who had won the admission lottery, and additional stock for people who would not be attending Nintendo Live 2022 would be produced and delivered after the event. Orders for the general public opened on 4 October 2022 and will close on 11 October 2022, with most orders set to be delivered around January 2023.

Trivia
- This concert marked the shortest time between the release of a game and its idol group's real-world debut. It took only 29 days since the release of Splatoon 3 for Deep Cut to have their first concert. For comparison, it took:
- 247 days after the release of Splatoon for the Squid Sisters to have their first concert.
- 204 days after the release of Splatoon 2 for Off the Hook to make their first "live" appearance.
- 226 days after the release of the Octo Expansion for Off the Hook to perform their new songs in their casual outfits.
- This was the first Japanese concert to:
- Be held in an all-seater venue.
- Be streamed in 1080p at 60fps.
- Based on a seating chart displayed at Nintendo Live 2022, the venue was able to accommodate over 2,000 people.[12] However, if the winners of the general admission lottery were to be divided equally among each performance, there would be approximately 1,666 people in the audience, not counting any staff or winners of the tournament competitor lottery.
