Lookin' Fresh is an electronic composition, with many influences from old-school hip-hop. The song has an emphasis on the Inkling vocals, which appear to be rapping, along with a section that has multiple Inklings chanting. The song plays in Booyah Base in Splatoon and Splatoon 3, with each of the four different shops having its own version of the song that matches the personalities of the shopkeepers:
- The version heard in Cooler Heads has louder treble, emphasizing vocals, and minimal percussion, giving it a weaker sound in that respect. This is a reflection of Annie's shy and detached personality, as well as the fact that she sells gear for the top part of the buyer's body, hence the emphasis on the treble.
- The version heard in Jelly Fresh is faded out except for the melody, the "center", because Jelonzo's gear is worn on the middle part of the body. It also has many bubbly sound effects in the background, reflecting his bubbly and ecstatic personality as well as referencing his gelatinous species.
