Origin of Order is a song from Splatoon 3: Side Order that plays when Marina explains the Memverse after the first climb.

Description

Origin of Order consists of two distinct parts in the Ordertune album, though only part 1 is featured in the jukebox.

Part 1 plays during the beginning of the cutscene and the initial explanations and is an instrumental remix of Acid Hues. This remix features an overall more sparse instrumentation than the original, as well as a lower tempo. This song begins with the same intro as Acid Hues, then expands on the motif of that song while also incorporating a new guitar countermelody. After resolving in a similar way to the end of the verses from Acid Hues, the song begins a new section that incorporates other parts of the vocal melody using a new instrument. This part fades out when Marina says, "You're absolutely right! We need to do something about Order."

Part 2 of the song begins shortly after part 1 ends, when Marina says, "Order's ultimate goal is a colorless world of order." After a few seconds of ambient noise, the rest of the song consists of a short piano riff using the same sound as the piano in New World Order over noise backing. Once Pearl finishes saying, "Yo, that sounds BAD! Not on our watch, Order!" a riff from Acid Hues as it is used in the second section from part 1 is added as a guitar melody. When Pearl strikes a pose after saying, "If that creep Order hijacked your work...it's gonna be sorry it ever tried!" a brief snippet of the percussion from Acid Hues plays.

Origin of Order was first heard in the overview trailer for Side Order.[1]
