Intro

This is my Sandbox, which shows Splatoon Characters and story events that are part of my personal canon. Do you ever have the feeling that you hate the Splatoon Manga because the main protagonists act so stupid and immature? Well you've come to the right place! Post-S3 Launch To-Do's
This is a list of content I need to add throughout Splatoon 3's lifespan:
  1. Finalize S3 Characters' appearances, new Team Battle Tactics descriptions & misc. info.
  2. Add S3's Splatfest info as Events transpire.
  3. Start the formats of the Story Chapters.
  4. Might have to move this passion-project to a Fanon Website or an eventual Splatoon Fandom Wiki in the future.

Differences

My Splatoon canon has differences from the Games to feel unique, and the Manga that make it more serious and action-packed than silly.

The Games

  • Series:
  1. The Battle Towers are used as Turf War lobbies for Elite Teams to organize battles, along with random solo grouping options if Inklings/Octolings want to team-up with others, Commentator studios and a locker room. Plus, the "Tutorial Stages" are used by Teams and other players for practice drills.
  2. The Shoal in both Inkopolis and Splatsville is an arcade/entertainment center instead of a Turf War matching lobby.
  3. The Lobbies' Locker Rooms are FAR larger than the game.
  4. The amiibo Boxes are nonexistent.
  5. The Shops sell the Gear Items that are normally obtainable from both Hero Modes (OV, OC, OE, RotM, SO), amiibo, Splatfest-Themed & Grizzco. With Gear made by the latter being sold for very expensive prices due to Mr. Grizz giving the sellers "copyright fees" so he can improve his business (and further his goal), while the Hero Mode, amiibo & Splatfest-Themed Gear Items are sold for cheap prices similar to the "Rookie Gear".
  6. The shops don't sell the Japan-Exclusive gear in: The SQUID GIRL Set, the FA-11 Bomber Jackets, the Limited Edition V-Neck Tees, the Milky Eminence Set, the Sennyu Collection, the Mecha Set & Koshien Set, due to my Canon being based on the American Versions/Translations. But the Black Pipe, White Line & SWC Logo Tees, the Traditional, CoroCoro, Moist Ghillie & Online Sets were the grand prizes in convention contests held in early May 2015 M.E and late June 2017 M.E respectively as the only sets in existence.
  7. Gear ordered through SplatNet is forwarded to the Gear Shops rather than through Spyke or Murch.
  8. Ammo Knights doesn't sell the Hero Weapon Replicas due to Sheldon never finding his Grandfather's lost top-secret Weapon blueprints (The ones from S1's amiibo Challenges) and agreeing to the New Squidbeak Splatoon's "secrecy policy".
  9. Stages that got terrain modifications in Post-Release updates are used at the start of their Leagues. Specifically;
    1. Splatoon 1; Urchin Underpass, Arowana Mall, Kelp Dome, Moray Towers and Saltspray Rig in v2.0.
    2. Splatoon 2; Musselforge Fitness, Humpback Pump Track, Inkblot Art Academy, Moray Towers & Port Mackerel in v2.1. Starfish Mainstage, Snapper Canal & Piranha Pit in v4.0. The Reef in v4.2. Blackbelly Skatepark in v4.3. Kelp Dome in v4.4. Shellendorf Institute & New Albacore Hotel in v5.0.
    3. Splatoon 3; Undertow Spillway in v2.0. Eeltail Alley, Hagglefish Market, Mincemeat Metalworks, Hammerhead Bridge, Museum d'Alfonsino, Mahi-Mahi Resort, MakoMart & Wahoo World in v3.0.
  10. The performance of all the Main, Sub & Special Weapons match those as of their games' final update patches.
    1. Splatoon 1; v2.12
    2. Splatoon 2; v5.5.1
    3. Splatoon 3; v3.1.1 (CURRENT)
  11. The Battle Lobbies, Battle Dojo, Shoal, Grizzco Industries & Shops are temporarily closed during weeks containing big holidays, such as Squidmas (Barring FrostyFest).
  12. I consider Splatfests that were held in the North American regions, plus the worldwide ones as Canon here (Splatfests held in the other regions and are collaboration/promotional are not).
  • Splatoon 1:
  1. The Battle Dojo in Inkopolis Plaza is used as an aim practice center with balloon targets on the League's sixteen Stages.
  2. In Octo Valley, Agent 3's Ink is always Orange regardless of the Mission.
  3. Callie and Marie help Agent 3 with their signature Hero Weapons and wear their own Hero Suits in the fight against DJ Octavio.
  4. Agent 3's Hero Equipment (Hero Shot, Bombs & Ink Tank) are already fully upgraded when she first obtains them.
  • Splatoon 2:
  1. In Octo Canyon, Agent 4's Ink is always Green regardless of the Mission, and uses the Hero Dualies instead of the Hero Shot in the fight against DJ Octavio.
  2. When Callie is freed from Octavio by Marie and sings along with her, she stays in her punk-rock attire.
  3. All of the Hero Weapons Sheldon loans, the Hero Shot & Ink Tank are already fully upgraded when Agent 4 first obtains them.
  4. In the Octo Expansion, Agent 8's Ink is always Pink regardless of the Test-Station.
  5. Corrupted Agent 3's Ink is her Orange but with the Sanitized Ink's texture and uses different Specials in the Spinal Phase fight which are: Splashdown, Inkzooka, Suction-Bomb Launcher, Bubble Blower and Tenta Missiles.
  6. The Deepsea Metro map has a completely different layout. Line A has four train paths at it's end. The first one leads to Line C that also leads to Lines B & F. The second one leads to Lines D & I. The third one leads to Lines G & E. The fourth one leads to Lines J & H.
  7. The four Thangs are guarded by the Sanitized Octobosses rather than be at their own Stations.
  8. There are unique Sanitized Octolings with a defective mutation used in the fight against Commander Tartar and the NILS Statue.
  9. The Squid vs. Octopus Splatfest during the Inkopolis Square League was held to celebrate its one-year anniversary and didn't have the "species matching the Team" rule to not be racially divisive, as the vast majority of the worlds' Inklings don't know about, or notice the Octolings in Inkopolis.
  • Splatoon 3:
  1. As of the Splatsville League, with the Spawner Drones replacing the Spawn Points, each of the League's Stages have a special, indestructible Squid Beakon in each Team's base for Players to super jump back to.
  2. In "Return of the Mammalians", Agent 3's Ink color is always Yellow regardless of the Mission (Except for when fighting against Frye where it is Blue).
  3. Callie, Marie and Captain Sally's Ink colors are their classic Bright Purple, Fern Green and Orange respectively instead of them all having Yellow.
  4. Captain Sally has a vastly different appearance consisting of uniquely designed Gear instead of the tattered clothes and sandals.
  5. Enemy Octolings use the Octo Weapons they obtained from Octo Canyon in After Alterna instead of the original Turf War designs, and the "Savage Octoling Goggles" have nanotech shutters in their lenses to reflect the wearer's emotions.
  6. During the fight against Big Man, the Ink Color he uses is his signature Slate-Gray instead of Tie Dye Turquoise/Yellow. But his manta ray hologram is the same color as in the game.
  7. Vent and Octrina help Agent 3 in the fight against Mr. Grizz in each respective phase. (The former while on the rocket, and both during the finale.)

The Manga

  1. For my Canon, I have my main protagonists have serious and mature personalities, rather than the Manga's Goggles having a silly and childish personality in comparison.
  2. I give each Splatoon game story arc its own main protagonist to be the "mascot" of said arc.
  3. My Canon primarily focuses on the competitive side of the Splatoon Series, in contrast to the Manga focusing on it being a fun game.
  4. Female Inklings/Octolings are shown to also be Team Captains as well as Males, compared to the Manga where basically every single shown Team in it is lead by a Male Inkling/Octoling.
  5. In my Canon, there are no depictions of characters being nude, nor there being any comedic actions. But it does depict acts of graphic violence early on. Mainly in my Splatoon 1 arc.
  6. All of my Canon's Characters have distinct human-like names, rather that being named after a piece of Gear they wear.

Advanced Details

For my Canon, I make sure to have it void of highly offensive/inappropriate content, have every Main Weapon, Sub Weapon, Special Weapon, Gear Brand, Hairstyle, Legwear and Multiplayer Stage represented. This Sandbox Canon of mine is ambiguous to the official Nintendo Canon. It is only made to be a fun Alternate Universe by a fellow Splatoon fan.

The Rules & Laws of Turf War

  1. New arrivals of the Turf War scene start with the "Rookie Set" S3 Weapon Main Splattershot Jr..png White Headband Basic Tee Cream Basics/Cephalo Pods Tri-Shred Tee Force ReBoots which has a 1000 Cash price for the whole set plus the entry fee, but can buy from shops right away with money they brought. But in the Splatsville League, new and veteran players are also given a Sheldon License to trade in for the Weapon of their choice.
  2. New Inkling (and Octoling) competitor entrants must be 14 years old in order to enter.
  3. If two competing Teams of similar Ink Colors (e.g. Turquoise and Cyan) wanted to challenge each other in battle, one Team HAS to change their Color to help differentiate each Team Color to prevent confusion from both the competitors, commentators and viewers.
  4. Mode-Specific Stage terrain is handled by the League organizers alongside Neo.
  5. There should be NO physical contact (Touching) with Teammates and opponents.
  6. Manipulating Battles (A reference to Splatoon hackers). Bribbing the Judds. Use of illegally modified or stolen Weapons and Gear (Another reference to Splatoon hackers as well as Grizzco Industries) will lead to indefinite bans.
  7. Actions of harassment, bullying, threatening others, or use of profanity/vulgar slurs in battle will lead to temporary bans. But repeated violations, or if the offense is extremely major, will lead to longer or even indefinite bans.
  8. Squidbagging opponents in matches will lead to a 10,000 Cash fine. If both Teams begin a Squid Party in a match, they are all banned for a month and given a 1,000,000 Cash fine.
  9. If a Player ignores a match's current objective by staying idle, not helping Teammates ink Turf or show acts of trolling other Players, they will receive a one year ban.
  10. Food & drinks are prohibited in matches, but gum and the soda from the Tacticooler Special are allowed.
  11. Players are required to take mandatory restroom breaks before a match.
  12. Blunt weapons (knives, bats, etc.) used in matches are illegal. If a player is found with one, they are arrested.
  13. Use of Turf War Weapons outside of Battles is prohibited.
  14. For Stages that contain doorways to small rooms on the play field (such as Flounder Heights), it is illegal to enter them while a match is in progress. If there are any accounts of such, the accounted player will be banned for a week and ordered to do community service during that time-frame.
  15. Players are required to wear three small devices: The "Special-Limiter" to prevent unfair advantages and only have their Main Weapon's single Special. The "Jump-Limiter" to confine players' super jump distance to the radius of the Stage and to prevent players from jumping out of ongoing matches and also sync's their spirit to their Team's Spawn Point/Spawner Drones. Certain Specials; mainly the Bomb Rush, Bubbler, Echolocator, Kraken, Splashdown, Ink Armor, Booyah Bomb, Zipcaster and Kraken Royale are activated through similar devices. And a "Cephal-Com", which is a small earpiece so Teammates can communicate to each other regardless of distance.
  16. Elite Turf War Team members must have differing Special Weapons (e.g. Trizooka, Triple Inkstrike, Killer Wail 5.1 & Kraken Royale), this includes Bomb Rush/Launcher types. Meaning that two or more members can't have the same Special.
  17. Both Elite Turf War Team members and casual players joined in a Team CAN'T have more than one of the same Weapon. (e.g. Two Splattershots and two Splatana Stampers, three .52 Gals and one E-liter 4K, or four Splash-o-matics)
  18. A Team, either Elite or Casual, CAN'T have more than one Charger-Class or Splatling-Class Weapon respectively. This is so said Teams won't be in a severely disadvantageous matchup. But they can have one of each.
  19. Teams must have two boys and two girls. But Splatsville contradicts this rule, as a Team can consist of one gender, but ONLY can if they show lawyers proof that their biological-gender (The gender they were born as) matches the one they claim to be. Even going through a lie-detector test as a precaution. If not, they are rejected.
  20. Elite Turf War Teams are required to have companies sponsor them. With the Leagues themselves being sponsored by SquidForce, Ammo Knights, Crust Bucket, Grizzco Industries, the Gear Shops and the various Weapon manufacturers and Gear Brands.
  21. The Turf War Leagues start each day by posting the battle schedule both on SplatNet along with its Newscast to broadcast.
    1. Leagues' first day starts with Elite Teams meeting up with their Teammates, be given rulebooks, and time to shop for their Equipment. Then the Elite Team qualifiers commence and with normal battle schedules starting soon later.
    2. Normal days run from 8am to 8pm c.t. (Cephalon Time)
    3. But for the schedule for Splatfests, they start at 8pm c.t. and run for their usual durations. With a concert being held at the halfway point of the event. But for the events that run longer than twenty-four hours and the Splatsville League's Splatfests have the concert held halfway through each day of the event.
    4. Days with Splatfests that run for over twenty-four hours have downtime windows after the concerts lasting six hours so attendees can rest up.
  22. If a Team has quit, been banned or fully retired before or after the Final Splatfest of the League they competed in, those Team colors are advertised for refilling if one of their colors are returning.
  23. Turf War lawyers have the rights to announce orders to replace Special Weapons and Gear Abilities that they feel are unfair, discontinue Stages and announce renovation construction on ones returning, and also to retire certain Ink colors to replace newer ones, or bring old ones back. A Team can change it's official color only once. Even if their previous one returns.
  24. The Final Splatfests are hosted as the conclusion of a Turf War League. Also due to this, players that competed in said Leagues, must return their Main Weapons the day after the event.

Community & Media

This is how I imagine parts of the Inklings' internet and entertainment.

  1. Music is a massive part of Inkling society. With songs from Inkopolis and Splatsville's hit bands highly used in Turf War battles.
  2. Video Games are also popular. With the various games released by Ancho-V, along with other developers.
  3. Social Media is everyone's go-to entertainment sites, with the likes of "Splat-Stop" (parody of Twitter), 'Decalog" (parody of Discord), "Squid-Vids" (parody of YouTube), and "Swim-Dive" (parody of Twitch).
  4. TV is a common pastime. The most popular TV-Show is "Splatty Toons" (which is actually the official Splatoon Manga as an action/comedy anime), along with Fresh Fish and "Callie-Dayz" (The TV drama that Callie stars in). Inkopolis News & Anarchy Splatcast are popular in the competitive Turf War scene, where news, live-streams and announcements of matches, tournaments and Splatfests are aired.
  5. Websites are another source of news. The most popular site is "SplatNet", where Turf War-related news & topics can be viewed. It is also where Inklings & Octolings can enter and qualify into the competitive scene, either in Teams or solo. Inkopolis News & Anarchy Splatcast can be accessed from this site as well. As of the Inkopolis Square League, the website now has a Gear Shop ran by Annie & Moe.
  6. Books are another common pastime and hobby in the forms of story books, novels, comics, manga, magazines and catalogs. While magazines and catalogs are for shopping advertisements for popular shopping centers, with the former focused on major fashion and Turf War info, and the later feature ads of store products and coupons for shops in Booyah Base, The Gallaria, Anarchy Aquisitions, Arowana Mall and MakoMart.

Splatfests

These are Splatfests that aren't Collaboration/Promotional. Examples being; Hasbro, Pokémon, Nickelodeon, Miitomo, the Splatfest World Premiere Demos, Super Smash Bros., Super Mario 35th & The Legend of Zelda.

Story (S3)

PROLOGUE: Splatlands Safari

(Year: 2022 M.E); It was a typical August morning in Inkopolis Square. With Green, Pink, Turquoise, Orange, Purple and Bright Red Teams chilling in the Square, bored out of their minds with the Square's Turf War League concluding for over two years, along with The Gallaria, Grizzco Industries and The Shoal being shut down. Jen was staring into Inkopolis News Studio, reminiscing about Off the Hook and the happy memories she had with them after the FinalFest, when suddenly, everyone there got a new notification on their phones. It was from SplatNet! Everybody got very excited, as SplatNet hadn't posted news in what felt like an eternity. The article stated that the next Turf War League was confirmed to start in early September in a city called: "Splatsville". Nicknamed the City of Chaos, it was located in a harsh desert region called "The Splatlands". Everyone was thinking the same thing in that precise moment; they gathered their winnings from the Square League to buy tickets for the trip. Jen pulled up the global map on her phone to find the region's location. It was on the other side of Inkopolis Bay! Duke resolved that the Teams get bus tickets, as construction on Hammerhead Bridge finished late 2021 and was the fastest route to Splatsville. Everyone went to the bus station and board a whole single bus and went off. But after forty minutes into the ride, the bus unsuspectingly hit a pothole. The bus driver Jellyfish inspected the damage; it got a flat tire and a blown piston, and he can't call for repairs due to having no signal on his CB-radio. But he told the Teams that there is a train station that leads directly to Splatsville twenty miles northwest of their location, and that they had to hike across the Splatlands to get to it, but warned them that he heard rumors that the Splatlandian Inklings (and Octolings) were very "edgy" and don't take kindly to outsiders. Everyone got off the bus and thanked him for the ride and proceeded for the long walk. After two hours of walking, and some complaining from Olivia as she forced herself to walk barefoot as she didn't want to ruin her Online Squidkids, the group found themselves in a area filled with rusted metal when suddenly, they heard something. Meanwhile, an Inkling salvager was digging through a pile of scrap metal with a Smallfry playing with a screw close by, when she heard a commotion nearby and proceeded to hide the Smallfry in her backpack and readied her Weapon. Sally walked ahead and saw the Inkling aiming at her, and told her to not shoot. Stating that she and her friends were looking for the train station that leads to Splatsville, as they were elite Turf War Teams from Inkopolis. The Inkling lowered her Weapon and stated that her name was Lisa and told them that the train station was up the ridge near the Crater, and that she was also joining the new League with a Team of her own. Sally thanked her and the group headed towards the train station, where they waited half an hour for the train to arrive. They were relieved that they can finally rest after the exhausting hike and enjoy the air conditioning. After an hour, they finally saw the cityscape and arrived at Splatsville Metro, where they all looked for a hotel to rest up for the night. The next morning, they got themselves signed up into the Splatsville League and enjoyed the sights and entertainment the city had to offer until the day the League began.

CHAPTER 1: Splatsville Uprising

(Year: 2022 M.E); The day of the Splatsville League came, and Green, Sky-Blue, Pink, Turquoise, Orange and Purple Teams arrived at the city's main Turf War hangout spot; "Anarchy Avenue", and spotted six more Teams in Yellow, Blue, Indigo, Lime, Marigold and Cyan. They spotted Lisa and her Teammates and began to chat, when suddenly everyone heard a cringe voice, bragging that the Neo Sploosh will dominate the League, which turned out to be the leader of the new Blue Team; an Octoling Boy named Connor. Lisa got annoyed by this and played some C-Side music on her phone through her Cephalo Pods. Sally asked her is she had a beef with him in the past. Lisa stated that they were in the same special-ed class in high school, and he had childish outbursts when he didn't get breaks or was struggling with an assignment, leading her to sit at the opposite end of the room from him due to getting annoyed by his immaturity. After the conversation, everyone got a notification on their phones. It was the Anarchy Splatcast and its hosts; Shiver, Frye & Big Man, started with breaking news. The city's Great Zapfish had disappeared! The Inkopolitan Teams were surprised about the existence of a second Great Zapfish, but everyone ignored the dilemma while Shiver announced the Qualifying Turf War matches which will be on Scorch Gorge, and the matchups being: Yellow vs. Blue, Green vs. Sky-Blue, Pink vs. Turquoise, Orange vs. Indigo, Purple vs. Lime and Bright Red vs. Cyan, while being commentated by Jordan & Elizabeth.

(Part 1: Qualifying Rounds); The Judds then told everyone there through their telepathy about the rules and requirements to participate in Turf War, and pointed to the area's shopping center: Anarchy Aquisitions. Everyone purchased what they wanted with no problems, except for when Lisa accidentally left Man-o'-Wardrobe without paying for her shirt, as Connor was yapping nonsense. She went back to finish her purchase after Connor was done there despite Jel La Fleur's rage towards her misdeed. After that, everyone got on the train to the city outskirts and headed to Scorch Gorge on ATVs. It was Yellow vs. Blue first, but halfway through the match, Blue Team was falling behind, which lead Connor to freak out and destroy his Jump-Limiter and shockingly Super Jump out of the battle, leading the Judds to declare the match a draw and cancel it. When everyone got back, they see Ammo Knights surrounded by police officers trying to stop Connor, who was demolishing the shop in anger and screaming at everything he threw at the floor. The officers finally arrest him for aggravated arson of a major business. The other members of Blue Team, Ally and Zack were humiliated so much that they demanded Turf War lawyers to ban Connor along with Lucy off the Team because of their inappropriate sportsmanship and attitudes, which threw Lucy into a rage and called them "dong-heads" for not seeing her glorious skill and spat towards them. The cruel act made the lawyers agree to Ally and Zack's request and started advertising for new members for the Team. The other matches continued afterwards with now issues and the other new Teams got their starting Ranks while the veterans got their's updated, along with the Yellow vs. Blue matchup being delayed. Enraged, Lisa demanded for a Qualifying match with a Team of random players, which eventually happens, but lead her Team to get a lower Rank than usual at B-. Which lead her to challenge the other Teams to Turf War for the following day to try and raise it more, which they all agreed to. Later that evening, Lisa was relaxing at the Battle Lobby's café, pondering on the rough day she had, when Sally came after a Turf War session to enjoy a juice from the Crab-N-Go. She saw Lisa watching Splat-Stop clips of suburban brawls on her phone, which lead Sally to tell her about the rivalry she had back in the Plaza League and how it eventually cheered her up in the end, and said that it will get better for her tomorrow during her challenger-run to lift her moral before finishing her drink and heading for her apartment. Seeing that it was getting late, and having listened to Sally's advice, left for her apartment to prepare for her Team's big day tomorrow.

CHAPTER 2: A Rogue's Redemption

(Year: 2022 M.E); It was a week after the "Connor-Fiasco" and Yellow Team's challenger-run, when Deep Cut announced that the new members for Blue Team have arrived, and revealed to be Justice and Kit. But Sally didn't take the news well and attempted to punch Justice in the face only for her to block it with her bare hands, explaining that she regretted her past actions and wants to redeem herself with a new Team. Sally then angerly asked her why she wasn't in jail in Inkopolis, which Justice explains that the jail security thought that the conditions and atmosphere of the complex, along with her having too many panic attacks, lead her to being released and ordered to join emotional-therapy groups. She also explains that Hunter was constantly getting into fights with violent inmates, with one in particular: "Terror Finblade", who got him severely injured. When she described his injuries, Sally got a joyful smirk on her face and forgave Justice for her old antics. Then, as Justice and Kit aquired their weapons and gear, the Judds announced through their telepathy that the long awaited Yellow vs. Blue matchup was ready and will take place on Eeltail Alley. With Justice doing really good in the match in terms of mentality and skill, even though she lost. Afterwards, Justice asked Lisa for a rematch tomorrow, as she had fun and wanted to challenge her Team to perform better, which Lisa agreed to. That night, Sally, Justice and Lisa went on a stroll around Splatsville after a squad-run of Turf War with Jen, when they suddenly heard someone yelling profanity and threats toward them as they entered a back alley. They turned around only to see Lucy, filled with rage, approach them holding a knife and a sliced lemon, shouting that they will all share the same fate as her ex, as payback for "ruining her Turf War dream", and charged at them. But Sally defended her new friends by hitting Lucy with a roundhouse-kick to her face. A police officer arrived to find out what happened, and arrested Lucy for attempted felony assault and sentenced to ten years in prison. After the courtroom session the following evening, Sally, Justice and Lisa decided to get lunch together, but after they finished eating, Sally suddenly got a phone call from Callie and Marie saying that they need her for an important recon mission in Octarian territory to keep an eye on them. Sally left as Lisa payed for the food and told Justice good luck for their match tomorrow.

Lisa, Justice, Karen and Rey decide to get employed, but have to work with the vile Vent and his relentless new Team Grizzco. Can they work together to survive this Next Wave? And face the destructive wrath of the King Salmonids?!

CHAPTER 4: Return of the Mammalians

(Year: 2022 M.E); After a long day of salvaging, Lisa and Robbie were heading back to the train station, when they suddenly spotted a bizarre trail of Ink leading deep into the Crater. Robbie then lept out of Lisa's backpack and starts following to where it leads, with Lisa chasing after him. After grabbing him near where the trail ended and scolding him, she spots an old Inkling Man staring at them, with monstrous piles of wierd goo behind him. He tells them that his name is Craig Cuttlefish, the senior supervisor of the New Squidbeak Splatoon and that he believes that the Octarians were behind the disappearance of Splatsville's Great Zapfish, as they stole the one from Inkopolis twice before. Lisa offered to help and Cuttlefish gives her a brand new set of Hero Gear and a Hero Shot, while dubbing her Agent 3. He then told Lisa about how to proceeded and advice on her new Hero Gear's features.

(Part 1: The Crater); Then Robbie got loose again, heading for the wierd goo, which Cuttlefish stated was called Fuzzy Ooze and warned them about what happens when a creature touches it, as he saw a hawk a few weeks ago touch it and its feathers immediately turned into hair. Lisa grabbed Robbie again and spotted a series of Gold Kettles which Cuttlefish told her were the entrances to the Octarian's hideouts. She entered the first one and clears it easily. Saving a Zapfish in the process. She came back with a bunch of Power Eggs which were giving a wierd feeling to Robbie, seeing a large mound of Fuzzy Ooze with a Fuzz Ball blocking the way further down. Robbie suddenly lept towards it and shocking eats the Fuzz Ball, which destroyed the barricade, all while being unfazed by it. Cuttlefish was impressed and requested Lisa to find more Power Eggs in the next three missions to completely clear away the Fuzzy Ooze. She cleared them swiftly while saving another three Zapfish. Then Cuttlefish saw that the Octarians looked wierd and thought that this mission would need some backup and called the New Squidbeak Splatoon for help, with Agent 1 and Agent 2 agreeing to meet him later before calling in the Captain. Now at the bottom of the Crater, they both heard a rumbling above them, when suddenly DJ Octavio came down in his Octobot King L3.Gs along with Octrina, saying that his Army had gone missing and he believed that Cuttlefish was behind it. But he didn't hear his remark and demanded Octavio to give back the Great Zapfish. But Octavio told him to shut up and proceeded to fight Lisa. Octavio proceeded to launch the Octobot King's fists at her. But she dodged and shot them back at Octavio. After getting hit a few more times, Octavio ordered Octrina to engage this "new Agent", which she quickly does and whipped out her Octo Blaster and attacked. Lisa put up a hard fight with her, but then Octrina suddenly activated a Killer Wail 5.1 and fired it off. But Lisa avoided it and shattered the shield on Octrina's Armor, forcing her to retreat back to Octavio. Furious, Octavio fired off some drill-punches before activating an Ink Vac on the Octobot to pin down Lisa as he fired a slap-fist at her. As Lisa dodged, Robbie came flying out of her backpack and suddenly jammed Octavio's Ink Vac with his face, leading Octavio to fire another fist, which Lisa shot back. Leading Octavio to get flung out of the Octobot King L3.Gs. As the machine broke down and fell off the cliff and Octrina came to help Octavio back up, Lisa, Robbie and Cuttlefish came towards them as the latter stated that Octavio's Octobot King wasn't as powerful as he thought the Great Zapfish would give him. But Octavio then stated that he didn't even steal it, shocking Cuttlefish. As he questioned on who else would steal the Great Zapfish, when suddenly Fuzzy Ooze began to seep from beneath them and multiple Fuzzy tentacles smashed the platform they were on, leading them all to fall down into a massive hole. During the decent, a Fuzzy tentacle suddenly grabbed Cuttlefish and dragged him down. Helplessly in free-fall, Lisa's Hero Suit began to fall off her body, leaving her back in her salvager uniform before she lost consciousness from a piece falling debris. Meanwhile, a mysterious, masked trio saw this and began to plot something...

(Part 2: Arriving in Alterna); Lisa was still unconscious from the fall, with Robbie wondering on how to wake her and then proceeded to bite her nose. Immediately waking up from the pain, thinking she landed face first on the ground. When she opened her eyes, she was in disbelief to see a snowy landscape home to some kind of research site and a large rocket, along with a crazy ton of Fuzzy Ooze everywhere. Getting her bearings back, she suddenly heard someone calling for her. It was Agent 1, who was also with Agent 2 and a serious looking Inkling Girl. The Agents introduced themselves as the Squid Sisters to Lisa and agreed to help her find Cuttlefish, who Marie stated they had a tracker on in case of an emergency, and rescue Splatsville's Great Zapfish, along with stating that they are intrigued by this new dome and requested Lisa to do field surveys during the mission. Then the Inkling Girl stated to Callie; "Agent 3 seems ill equipped, huh...?", as Lisa suddenly recognized her voice as Sally's. She said she is the Captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon and was the original Agent 3 before her, and offered to help Lisa get back into her full-power state if she brought enough Upgrade Medallions as she then tossed her a special Hero Cephal-Com to her so she and the Squid Sisters could give her advice remotely. Lisa proceeded to the first mission, but when she entered it, a mysterious computerized voice welcomed her to the colony named "Alterna" and its research Stations, and that its name is O.R.C.A.; the colony's AI guide. Sally was suspicious of its intentions and asked if it was related to the "manipulating slime-circuit" Tartar. But O.R.C.A. stated that it has no recollection of an AI of that name, and offered Lisa statistics of each mission she enters, as it identified her as one of the colony's citizens. Callie and Marie said to go for it, and cleared cleared the mission and aquired a large amount of Power Eggs. Which Robbie used to clear away the Fuzzy Ooze blocking the path to more missions. After clearing nine more missions, Lisa aquired enough Power Eggs to access the pressure tube leading to the next Site, when suddenly someone demanded that the squad stop. They turn around and see none other than Deep Cut. Marie asked them why they weren't in Splatsville hosting its news and being celebrities, but Frye stated that it was just a gig to cover their true motives as bandits. Shiver was in awe that there was another world beneath the Crater and laughed to herself about the amount of loot to find, with Big Man agreeing with her. Lisa tried to reason with them, but Frye scolded her as Deep Cut left for their quest. Sally predicted that they might try to stop them and warned Lisa to stay alert as the squad headed for the next Site.

(Part 3: Eelin' 'n' Wheelin'); After existing the pressure tube, the New Squidbeak Splatoon arrived at the Site called: "Cozy & Safe Factory", where Marie pinpointed Cuttlefish's location on the tallest water tower, but the path to it was blocked by multiple mounds of Fuzzy Ooze. Lisa explored a bit and found more Upgrade Medallions, which Captain Sally used to upgrade the Hero Shot and give her a new pair of Hero Boots. After clearing the eight missions on the Site and collecting a huge haul of Power Eggs, Lisa headed for the tracker's location, with Robbie destroying the Fuzzy Ooze blocking it. After reaching the top, Lisa found a Boss Kettle and entered it to hopefully find Cuttlefish. But instead encountered Frye who said that she was about to aquire treasure, but called Lisa a pushover for trying to stop her and plays her flute to summon a massive cube that contained her pet moray eels, that had a sad, lifeless face that reminded Marie of the Octostomp. Frye played her music as the cube span like a top towards Lisa while the eels flew towards her. She dodged them and saw that some of the eels had Inkling eye markings on them and decided to shot them. She does and the eels got launched back at Frye's machine, causing it to topple down and stun her. Lisa swam up the cube to help Frye, but she karate kicked her off instead. Flustered, Frye summoned more of her eels and played a tune that made them create a whirlwind of her Ink as she spun her machine, which reminded Sally of her favorite TV show as a kid that had a martial art called "Vortixu". Dodging the Ink being flung everywhere, Lisa splatted the normal eels that were creating the vortex protecting the ones with the eye markings. But then they lashed out at her simultaneously. She dodged them and shot them back at Frye, once again stopping her machine. Realizing the strength Lisa possessed, Frye decided to retreat as she detonated the cube with a smoke bomb, telling Lisa that her other bandmates won't go as easy on her as she did. Then the giant vault in the background opened and a platform moved toward the arena that contained something that caught Lisa's interest. As she investigated the part, Callie theorized that it was the treasure that Frye was looking for, so Lisa brought it back to the squad's camp for safekeeping. Then suddenly, they got a transmission from Cuttlefish! The Sisters asked where he was and if he was OK, but he had no clue, as it was pitch-dark but was fine nonetheless. Sally breathed a sigh of relief before telling Lisa to head back to
Cozy & Safe Factory and destroy the Fuzzy Ooze blocking the pressure tube leading to the next Site, which she successfully accomplished and the squad headed there.

(Part 4: Jaws of Cold Justice); The New Squidbeak Splatoon soon arrived at the Site called: "Cryogenic Hopetown", where Callie advised Lisa to be careful not to loose traction on the slippery ice near more mounds of Fuzzy Ooze. Lisa and Robbie explored a bit as she cleared the seven missions there while Robbie found more Upgrade Medallions so Captain Sally could forge a new Hero Mindset for Lisa to pinpoint hidden enemies and traps easier, and giving her Splat Bombs as well. Seeing that there was nothing else important there, Robbie destroyed the Fuzzy Ooze blocking the pressure tube with the Power Eggs Lisa collected that lead to the next Site. The squad headed through and reached
"Landfill Dreamland", where Marie pinpointed another one of Cuttlefish's signals at the highest point on the Site. But was once again blocked by more Fuzzy Ooze mounds. Lisa proceeded to clear the Site's twelve missions and collected the Power Eggs needed to destroy the barricades and finds another Boss Kettle. She enters it, only to encounter Shiver who tells her that she's being a "persistent pain in the port-bow" as she found more treasure and plans to punish her. She then summoned her pet megalodon "Master Mega" and sat on its saddle to then dive straight at Lisa. She dodges and shot at Master Mega, but it showed little signs of damage as it swam in the pool of Ink surrounding the arena and fired fast slashes of Ink at her. Shiver then ordered Master Mega swim beneath the arena and strike from below. As Lisa waited for the opportunity to strike, she saw Robbie got loose again and suddenly got eaten by Master Mega! But suddenly, it got immobilized and was flailing around, as Robbie was attacking its throat. Shiver demanded it to spit out the pest before Lisa did a super jump towards her and activated her Splashdown. Launching Master Mega into the pool dazzed and spat out Robbie, and Shiver landing at the center of the arena looking weakened. Lisa went over to see if she was OK, but Shiver gave her a demented look and slapped her in the face with her fan. She then got back on Master Mega, telling it that she is getting frustrated with Lisa and to go full-throttle as it flopped onto the arena, sinking it so Lisa had less room to dodge as it created cyclones of Ink from the pool which it jumped from one to the other before firing a barrage of Ink lazers from its mouth at Lisa. Seeing an opening in between shots, Lisa tossed a Splat Bomb into its mouth to stun the beast again. Seemingly outmatched, Shiver laughed maniacally towards Lisa that she hasn't seen the last of Deep Cut as she and Master Mega retreated after detonating a smoke bomb. With the coast clear, the giant vault suddenly opened revealing a platform holding something important as a Launchpad leading to it appeared. Lisa found another piece of treasure and brought it back to camp, as the squad then got another call from Cuttlefish saying he had been trying to find a way out, but wasn't having any luck. When suddenly a mysterious and raspy voice spoke that he was pleased that Cuttlefish was finally awake. Cuttlefish demanded to know who it was, as the individual said that his name is Mr. Grizz and that Cuttlefish was the key to fulfilling his plan before the signal was lost. Lisa was confused of why Grizz wanted Cuttlefish to help Splatsville's economy, as she was also a part-time employee at Grizzco. But Sally told her that some friends of her's temporarily worked for him during the Inkopolis Square League and felt that he and his company's goals and morals suspicious. As nobody even knew what Mr. Grizz's true identity was outside of the wooden bear carving or what the Golden Eggs were for. Hoping to uncover more clues, the squad proceeded through the pressure tube leading to the fith Site, as there was another one there that lead to the sixth Site, which was the location of Cuttlefish's remaining signal, but it was found destroyed, with Captain Sally getting concerned about Cuttlefish...

(Part 5: Phanta Manta Basha); After exiting the pressure tube, the squad arrived at the Site called: "Eco-Forest Treehills" where Lisa and Robbie explored around while clearing the thirteen missions there and destroyed the Fuzzy Ooze blocking the path to the next Site. Before they headed out, Lisa gave Captain Sally more Upgrade Medallions to bring the Hero Shot back to full-power and made a new Hero Suit for her. Soon they headed through the pressure tube leading to the final Site called: "Happiness Research Lab" where Marie located the last of Cuttlefish's signals on top of the tallest building. After clearing the Site's twelve missions and collecting enough Power Eggs, Lisa and Robbie destroyed the barricade of Fuzzy Ooze and headed towards the signal, where she found another Boss Kettle. Lisa entered it only to encounter Big Man telling her that he found treasure that she can't have and dives into his Ink and emits a manta ray hologram and drifts towards her while tossing out bombs. Lisw proceeded to fire at him, but as she did the hologram began to split and multiplied every time she shot it. Using her Hero Mindset, Lisa pinpointed where Big Man was hiding and stunned him. As he prepared to dive again, Big Man elevated four corners of the arena and emitted an even larger hologram to potentially corner and disorient her while firing off more bombs and even a Triple Inkstrike. Lisa stood firm and fired at the hologram to eventually find and stun him again. Big Man then said that he was disappointed on his performance and dropped a smoke bomb to cover his retreat. Then the giant vault in the background opened revealing a platform moving towards the arena that held another piece of treasure. Lisa retrieved it and brought it back to camp. Sally then said that Deep Cut must be furious as she brought out some crabby cakes for the squad, before they got another transmission from Cuttlefish. Saying that he finally got his receiver working again and he's being held captive by Mr. Grizz for some "nature re-balancing" plan, but still doesn't know where he is, but felt like it was at high altitude. Marie then realized where the place was, when suddenly Mr. Grizz interupted again stating that he will deal with Cuttlefish before he became an "inconvenience" as Cuttlefish yelled for help right before the transmission cut-off. Callie figured out that their last destination was the rocket and its Space Center that were surrounded by a swamp of thick Fuzzy Ooze. Marie then wondered if the pieces of treasure they got might help get rid of the fur, as Lisa was low on Power Eggs and Robbie just gave a derpy, confused look at the group as he saw their predicament and having a full stomach.

(Part 6: Alterna Space Center); After making a new Ink Tank along with some Burst Bombs and Curling Bombs out of the remaining Upgrade Medallions Lisa had for her, Captain Sally, along with Callie and Marie, proceed to make a tool from the treasure. The resulting device turned out as a giant lawn mower-like yard edger, as Sally charged up her strength and grabbed the device and proceeded to decimate all of the thick Fuzzy Ooze surrounding the Alterna Space Center. The Agents came over to her at the complex's entrance, where she stated that the device blew a fuse right after she finished and she also pulled a forearm muscle, but would be fine nonetheless. But as Lisa was about to climb up the stairs into the complex, Deep Cut appeared as they were raring for another fight over the treasure. But Marie told them that they can have it, as the squad was done with it. Shocked by this, Deep Cut was lost for words, filled with guilt, and asked for forgiveness in battling Lisa over something her Team were just gonna give them anyway, as Shiver stated that Marie was doing a "boss" move, leading her to ask if she would be the trio's boss, which Callie joked toward her cousin, as Deep Cut decided to tag along with them. After the brief interruption and Sally recovered from her injury, Lisa entered the Space Center, only for O.R.C.A. to confiscate her Hero Gear at an Equipper for security reasons. Sally then told her to find another Equipper to get it all back. As Lisa and Robbie investigated around while dealing with Octarian scouts, Callie asked Deep Cut what they plan to do with the treasure. Frye stated that a majority of Splatsville's citizens live unpleasant lives and planned to sell it for money, while giving 91% of it to charities and splitting the remaining 9% amongst the trio, which surprised Marie seeing them as selfless heroes and not greedy thugs as she originally thought they were. A while after that, Lisa eventually got her Hero Gear back and proceeded through an air vent, which lead her to the complex's outer balcony, where the group overheard Mr. Grizz telling Cuttlefish that he will help him bristle forth a "fuzzy & profitable new era." Then Lisa slipped through a drainage pipe leading to the complex's hangar bay where she steamrolled through Octarian scouts with the various Specials she found and entered an air duct leading to the complex's roof where she heard Mr. Grizz stating that mammals and sea creatures have "traded places in nature for the worst" and he needs to "bring back balance to it", while saying that his employees have been extremely diligent in collecting millions of Golden Eggs for him. Then Lisa slipped through another air vent leading towards the complex's cargo lift. But before she could activate it, she got ambushed by a Grizzco Employee, which confused her. The individual turned to face her, and to her shock, turned out to be Vent, who was somehow being controlled by Grizz! He attacks her with his Grizzco Blaster as she fled for cover, while also activating the lift. As it moved downward, Lisa threw a Burst Bomb at Vent during their scuffle, leading his Headgear to fall off, revealing a small Fuzz Ball on his head. Prompting Lisa to toss Robbie so he can eat it off and hopefully free him. The plan worked as Vent got back to his senses and asked her why he was fighting her in a bizarre place. Lisa told him to just regroup with the New Squidbeak Splatoon as she proceeded towards the exit at the base of the rocket, where Frye spotted a fuel line leading into the rocket. Lisa entered it and finds herself inside the rocket, which O.R.C.A. stated was called "The Spirit Lifter". As she climbed to the top, she spotted the Great Zapfish trapped in a giant battery cell and proceeded into the rocket's cargo hold, which was filled with Fuzzy Ooze. Seeing that the exit was further up, Lisa was preparing to climb up when O.R.C.A. announced that the rocket was preparing for launch and sealed the hold's bulkheads. Annoyed by this, Captain Sally spotted clusters of Energy Cores and told Lisa to collect them in hopes of opening the bulkheads. Lisa then equipped a Zipcaster and collected all the Energy Cores, opening not only the bulkheads, but also the rocket's exit hatch. She exited to the complex's outer scaffolding, only to overhear Mr. Grizz talking about the three keys to his business plan: "The vessel, spirit and wisdom of ages", before proceeding to extract Cuttlefish's brain. As his cries and moans of pain were heard, the New Squidbeak Splatoon hurried to save him...

(Part 7: The Roche Limit of Furry Fury); The squad reached the top of the complex, ready to save Cuttlefish, but to their horror, found Cuttlefish as a dead, dehydrated squid! As Callie, Marie and Sally were reeling from this, a massive shadow loomed over them. It was Mr. Grizz. Revealing himself to be an hulking grizzly bear. Callie demanded him to return Cuttlefish back to normal, but instead he stated that he accepts the squad's outcries for change, but won't resolve their mourning as the rocket's engines were suddenly ignited and the rocket launched. With Grizz holding on, he stated that he will end their "employment" by covering Earth in Fuzzy Ooze to restore nature's balance. As the rocket exited Alterna, Callie and Marie checked on Captain Sally, who was holding Cuttlefish. As she shed her first tear in almost a decade, it landed on Cuttlefish, and, miraculously revived him! As he got aquainted to his new form and Callie and Marie were overjoyed that their grandfather was OK, but Lisa reminded them that they still need to stop Mr. Grizz from bringing Hairmaggedon. But as Marie stated that it would be impossible to reach Earth's orbit in time, Deep Cut came and offered to help. Frye then summoned her eels to create a cyclone of Ink breaching the dome, then Shiver summoned Master Mega to help Lisa ride the cyclone and give her the momentum needed to breach the atmosphere, and finally Big Man gave her a special Hero Suit specially modified for space. After a brief wardrobe swap, Lisa and Robbie got on Master Mega and rode the cyclone. After breaching the dome of Alterna and heading skyward, Lisa jumped off Master Mega and super jumped to the dual to save the world. But as the squad wished her good luck, Sally noticed that Vent was gone. Lisa then landed at the rocket's stern and found it covered in Fuzzy Ooze, she turned to look in her backpack and motivate Robbie, but saw that he was standing next to her. Confused by this she felt something in her backpack and found out that Vent had snuck inside in his swim-form, angering her, which the New Squidbeak Splatoon heard through their coms. Now wearing an Astro Set, Vent told Lisa that he only came so he can get revenge on Grizz for manipulating him for five whole years. Then suddenly, Mr. Grizz appeared and commented them for their "work commitment" and that they deserve a break, and started firing off Octorpedoes. Lisa saw a bunch of Golden Eggs and proceeded to collect them, which Robbie used to eat the Fuzzy Ooze blocking the path to Grizz. When they reached him, Lisa saw three scabs on Mr. Grizz's belly, when Vent suddenly fired at one of them with his Grizzco Blaster, breaking it to reveal a Fuzz Ball. Vent then gave Lisa some more Golden Eggs he found as Robbie then used them to eat the Fuzz Ball on Grizz. Seeing this, Mr. Grizz retreated further up the rocket and proceeded to curl up and rotate the it. Lisa and Vent inked and swam their way with the rotation while collecting more Golden Eggs as Grizz eventually stopped and summoned Fuzzy Octarians to slow them down. After destroying the remaining Fuzz Balls and engaging Grizz again, he then launched Triple Inkstrikes to scatter them. As Vent revealed the remaining Fuzz Balls on Grizz, and Lisa collected more Golden Eggs, Mr. Grizz let out a Killer Wail-like roar at them. Lisa dodged and threw Robbie at the Fuzz Balls, destroying them one after the other, but Grizz was unfazed and stated that it was time for them to "clock-out" and let out a roar that triggered several explosions that severely damaged the rocket and set its course back towards Earth, which also launched Lisa, Robbie and Vent off the rocket. But as they floated away, DJ Octavio and Octrina flew by in an upgraded Octobot King L3.Gs to grab them in time. Octavio was ready to dish out payback on Grizz and proceeded to play the Calamari Inkantation 3MIX along with the New Squidbeak Splatoon and Deep Cut assisting through the coms. Hearing the song, Robbie started to glow and float up, as marine-life energy was absorbing into him and started to undergo a transformation. As Shiver and Frye recited an ancient prophecy passed down in the Splatlands, Robbie turned into the titanic Hugefry and rared to fight Mr. Grizz, who also grew to a massive size due to absorbing large amounts of Fuzzy Ooze. Then Sally noticed four giant Fuzz Balls on Grizz's body and told Lisa and Octavio to destroy them with the Octobot King's supercharged Ink Vac while Robbie fought Grizz in the three minutes and thirty-three seconds until the rocket breached Earth's atmosphere. As they proceeded to destroy the first Fuzz Ball, Mr. Grizz summoned fake Fuzz Balls in the vicinity to deeter them away and squads of Fuzzy Octarians onto the Octobot King to distract them, but to no avail, as Octavio easily maneuvered around the fakes while Lisa, Vent and Octrina splatted the Fuzzy Octarians. After destroying the third Fuzz Ball, Robbie managed to pin down Mr. Grizz's arms and get him in a headlock as he summoned Fuzzy Elite Octolings and more fake Fuzz Balls to stop them, but again to no avail. After destroying the last Fuzz Ball, Mr. Grizz was still unfazed. Then DJ Octavio set the Octobot King's Ink Vac to its cannon setting to blast the Fuzz back as Octrina gave Lisa a Trizooka and connected it to the Vac and proceeded to blast Mr. Grizz out of his misery. In his dying breath, Mr. Grizz said that he laments his failure and wished to go back in time to stop them, but agreed that the world won't be what it used to going into the future, and said that Vent and Lisa won't get service pay from him right as the rocket exploded in a supernova of fire and Yellow Ink, killing him and freeing the Great Zapfish. Then Robbie reverted back to his normal Smallfry form and embraced Lisa as she, Octrina and Vent entered the Octobot King's cockpit as they headed back to Earth. When they returned to Alterna, Cuttlefish asked Octavio how he came to help in the nick of time. He stated that he and Octrina landed with the Octobot King on one of the far off islands in Alterna and were hiding there to repair and upgrade it with the rocket parts they found and heard Mr. Grizz monologing about his plan through radio interference and saw the Spirit Lifter launch. And stated that the Calamari Inkantation freed them in that moment and thanked the New Squidbeak Splatoon for helping and apologized to Cuttlefish for backstabbing him before heading back to Octo Valley. As the New Squidbeak Splatoon, Deep Cut and Vent celebrated at camp, Marie wondered what will happen to Grizzco Industries now, as it no longer has a CEO. When Vent offered to do so and reformat the company himself and unionize it. Three days later, Deep Cut aired a special Anarchy Splatcast segment announcing that the city's Great Zapfish had returned to its rightful place in Splatsville, along with Grizzco Industries now being under new management as an
anti-Salmonid defence force and that it joined Splatsville and Inkopolis's worker unions. They then got word from their bosses about the Squid Sisters's new song, but when they saw the album cover from their director Jellyfish, they were surprised that Deep Cut's new bosses were actually the Squid Sisters! Frye was hyped for a potential colab tour as Shiver signed off with the Squid Sisters' new song "Wave Goodbye" playing. Later that night after the broadcast, Sally snuck into Grizzco Industries and stole the bear carving while replacing it with a blasphemous opposite version she made earlier, while Vent and Lisa snuck onto the work-sites disguised in Chaos Commander Gear to confiscate the Egg Baskets, as there was no longer a need for Golden Eggs. But some Fuzzy Octarians lead by a maniacal Elite Octoling were hiding deep within Alterna, planning a Mammalian resistance...

(Bonus: Finding the Cure); One week after stopping the Return of the Mammalians, Lisa and Robbie were out on a salvage run where she suddenly got a phone call as she was trading in her recent finds at Mincemeat Metalworks. It was Captain Sally, who told her that she and the Squid Sisters need her again for a special mission back in Alterna, but will brief her there when she arrived. She put Robbie in her backpack and proceeded back down the Crater into Alterna, where she equipped her Hero Gear and met with the New Squidbeak Splatoon. She asked Sally what the mission was and who offered it, when Octrina came over from behind the camp's crates stating that she might have an idea to revert the Octarians back to normal. Marie then said that she and Callie went back into the Alterna Space Center to dig for information on the matter, and found a log detailing how Mr. Grizz created the Fuzzy Ooze. With Callie stating that he used the crystals that adorned the walls of Alterna to make it, with Octrina saying that they could be used in a similar way on the Fuzzy Octarians by combining them with a sample of Octarian Ink she brought. But Cuttlefish said that if the crystals were all over the dome's walls... It would be completely impossible to get them, as they don't have a ways of getting them. With Captain Sally replying that she pinpointed a Gold Kettle that contained a large reserve of them that's ripe for the taking, but Octrina then said there is a garrison of Fuzzy Octarians hiding out there, and that she knows who's leading them. Her old friend Francine, who had gone completely insane from Fuzzy Ooze corruption and she wants Lisa to bring her back alive. She then found the Kettle right at the spot where she landed when she arrived in Alterna for the first time hidden in the snow. She entered it and found a condemned area filled with Fuzzy Octarians and platforms. Lisa breezed past the obstacles and enemy ambushes until she found the reserve of crystals, when a maniacal scream suddenly broke the silence. It was Francine rallying a battalion of Fuzzy Octolings in an arena. Lisa called to her by name, stating that she's here for the crystals to restore the Octarian Army. But Francine told her to "go splat herself" and her name was now "Furrcine", and said that she will avenge Mr. Grizz and start a Mammalian resistance. Lisa then engaged the platoon, with six Octolings placing Wave Breakers and fought back as Furrcine watched with demented glee. Lisa jumped over the Waves and splatted a few of the Octolings, with the remaining ones activating Inkjets, but were taken out by Lisa's Trizooka. Furrcine then summoned six more Enemy Octolings who activated Big Bubblers and tossed out Ink Storms. Lisa held her ground as she aquired and activated a Crab Tank and fired off, breaking the Bubblers and splatting the remaining Octolings. Furious, Furrcine summoned another six Enemy Octolings who all fired off Tenta Missiles at her. Fleeing from the massive barrage, Lisa managed to obtain a Reefslider and proceeded to aim it and dash straight into their defenses and splat them all. Now filled with rage, Furrcine decided to fight Lisa herself and whips out her Savage Neo Octobrush and engages her. But as she was cornered by her, she activated a Splashdown. But as Lisa prepared to shoot her out of it, to her surprise, Furrcine flew over her at her Splashdown's peak with a Zipcaster. She perched herself on a pole and wiped out another Octobrush before leaping into the air and stretched her leg towards Lisa and zipped towards her. Lisa decided to toss Robbie at her and he proceeded to bite at Furrcine's face as she landed. Disoriented while yelling in pain at Robbie and trying to pry him off, Furrcine dropped her Weapons and prepared another Splashdown, but Lisa damaged her just enough to diffuse her Special but not splat her. She then tied up and gagged Furrcine as she collected the crystals and brought them both back to camp. As Sally and Marie developed the cure, Lisa asked Octrina on what Francine did in the Army. She stated that Francine was originally an obedient and wise woman and martial artist for the Army and even did monthly yoga classes at times and stated that she saw Francine as somewhat of a sister to her. With the substance finished, Octrina placed a dab of it on Francine's head, and she suddenly began to glow. Leading the Fuzzy Ooze that corrupted her to disintegrate and turn her back to normal. Seeing that it worked, Sally asked Marie to weaponize it with Low-Tide Ink, which she does and gives Ink Tanks of it to Lisa and Octrina as they ventured all over Alterna and cured all the surviving Octarians. Now freed, Octrina and Francine thanked the squad for their help as they left for Octo Valley, with Octrina saying that she forgot to mention that Octavio told her to relay that he will no longer be a threat due to him being freed by the Inkantation and invited Sally there to offer a trade agreement for Zapfish, which Sally agreed to come with her and sign it. After eating crabby cakes Sally made, Lisa and Robbie left for Splatsville to enjoy the Turf War League to its fullest!

BONUS CHAPTER: The Tableturf Battle Royale

Tease Banther: A new, competitive card game has got Splatsville's locals and the Turf War League players inkredibly excited; Tableturf Battle! This turn-based card game tournament will test players to their strategy and tactical knowledge against the likes of the Squid Sisters, the shop owners, Deep Cut themselves and even a crusty old friend. Can Lisa and her friends claim the Tableturf Battle card-shark title and get their own card? Or will they get decked?!
