In Splatoon 3, a variety of badges can be earned through achievements and playing the game, and up to three of them can be displayed at once on the bottom-right corner of a player's Splashtag.
Badges are awarded for fulfilling certain criteria such as getting 50 Turf War wins, earning 10,000 Grizzco points and defeating DJ Octavio in Return of the Mammalians. Some badges have multiple tiers, such as 4- and 5-star weapon freshness. Some Splatfest-related achievements, such as reaching Ruler rank, also reward badges.
Callie and Marie's badges are the only ones who share an unlock requirement.
It is possible to obtain the Crab-N-Go concessions badges without participating in any battles with a bonus active, as the game only tracks how many tickets have been used.
It is possible to obtain the Murch Orders badges without purchasing any of the orders, as the game only tracks how many orders have been sent in.
In a promotional image for badges, the player has 5★ weapon badges for weapons they don't have the 4★ badge in, which is impossible as a 5★ badge's requirement is an extension of the 4★ badge's.
As of Version 2.0.0, it is possible to obtain all 4 badges relating to Tricolor Battles during a single Splatfest, as players are not locked to be attackers or defenders.
In Version 3.0.0, the 4★ and 5★ Splash-o-matic and Sploosh-o-matic badges were graphically updated, with tweaks made to the weapons' coloring.
↑ 1.01.11.2If a player reached Top 500 or Top 10 they recieve the lower-tier badges too if not acquired before.
↑ 2.002.012.022.032.042.052.062.072.082.092.102.112.122.13These badges are currently unobtainable due to respective brand not having enough pieces of gear to reach required stars. Assuming a player would upgrade each piece of gear to 5 stars, it would take 6 for 30 stars and 20 for 100 stars.
↑ 4.04.1The Spike badges are both currently unobtainable as in order to recieve them, a player has to order gear and check them on the following day. Since only one piece of gear arrives per day this has to be done for 10 and 100 days respectively. As these badges were introduced with Wave 1 of the Splatoon 3:Expansion Pass, the normal badge can be obtained at the earliest on 10 March 2023 and the golden one on 8 June 2023.
↑A Shell-Out Machine reward is considered a Jackpot if the player received a gold or silver capsule. If the reward is downgraded to a bronze capsule since the player already has all currently available Jackpot banners or title pairs, it will not be counted for these badges.
↑ 6.06.1These badges are currently unobtainable, as only a total of 6 jackpot items exist as of Fresh Season 2023.
↑ 7.07.17.27.37.47.5If a player reached Top 20% or Top 5% they recieve the lower-tier badges too if not acquired before.
