Description

The Killer Wail 5.1 special consists of six floating megaphones from which laser beams are shot out. It appears to be a modified version of a special weapon from Inkopolis.[1] The ends of the contraptions bear a strong resemblance to the Suction Bomb. The laser beams shot out by these contraptions have the ability to go through walls, similar to the Sting Ray and Killer Wail specials, and tend to target opponents on their own.

Most statistical information, such as duration and base damage, are currently unknown, though it has been confirmed that the Killer Wail 5.1 is part of the Range Blaster and Sloshing Machine's set.

Trivia

  • 5.1 capable audio systems consist of five relatively similar speakers, as well as an additional larger "subwoofer" speaker. Despite this, the Killer Wail 5.1's six implements all appear to be identical.

Etymology

The weapon and the name are a reference to 5.1 surround sound, the most common format for surround sound systems. Notably, the Wii U and the Switch both support 5.1 output.
