==Etymology==
==Etymology==
Charcoal is a reference to charcoal toothpaste which contains activated charcoal. "Decavitator" comes from "de-" + "cavity", as toothbrushes are used to prevent tooth cavities. It is also a play on decapitation, or the act of separating the head and body (for example, with a sword). "Sumi" from the Japanese name is a Japanese term for "black fuel made by steaming and grilling wood" or in other words, charcoal.

Data

  • The Charcoal Decavitator is a middleweight weapon.
  • The matchmaking range is 15. The game's matchmaking system looks at a team's average matchmaking range value, and matches them against a team with a similar average.
  • The Charcoal Decavitator fires projectiles as it swings.
  • The Charcoal Decavitator can lunge forward if the user performs a charge slash while moving forward on the ground.
  • The Charcoal Decavitator cannot store its charge.

Horizontal slash (pressing ZR)

  • The ink consumption of 6.5% per slash allows the user to slash 15 times per ink tank.
  • After slashing, there is a 50 frame cooldown before the ink tank starts refilling.
  • While slashing, the user's speed is set to 0.055 units per frame.
  • The projectile of the slash deals 40 damage, and the blade itself deals 30 damage, for a combined total of 70 damage.
  • The projectile hitbox consists of multiple smaller hitboxes that become larger the closer they are to the center of the projectile. The center hitbox has a radius of 0.3 units, and the edge hitboxes have a radius of 0.25 units. The hitboxes span a length of 2.4 units.
  • The projectile travels at 2.3 units per frame for 6 frames, when combined with its spawn position, it travels a total distance of 15.2 units.
  • The blade hitbox extends about 3.9 units in front of the user, and about 1.8 units to either side of the user.
  • The time between continuous slashes is 30 frames.
  • The user can submerge in ink 27 frames after the slash starts.

Horizontal charge slash (holding ZR)

  • The ink consumption of 13% per slash allows the user to slash 7 times per ink tank.
  • After slashing, there is a 50 frame cooldown before the ink tank starts refilling.
  • While charging or slashing, the user's speed is set to 0.055 units per frame.
  • The projectile of the slash deals 80 damage, and the blade itself deals 160 damage, for a combined total of 240 damage.
  • The projectile hitbox consists of multiple smaller hitboxes that become larger the closer they are to the center of the projectile. The center hitbox has a radius of 0.3 units, and the edge hitboxes have a radius of 0.25 units. The hitboxes span a length of 4.8 units.
  • The projectile travels at 0.7 units per frame for 21 frames, when combined with its spawn position, it travels a total distance of 16.1 units.

Sheldon's Introduction

The Charcoal Decavitator has the same specs as the Mint Decavitator but a different flavor profile to change things up! Gatekeep your enemies with the Splash Wall sub weapon so you can lie in wait for your enemies to come within range of your charge attack! And if your foes are too smart for that, there's no outwitting a well-executed Inkjet assault! Put your enemies in their place, and keep them there forever! I'd highly suggest this for anyone looking to take to the front lines and wipe the smiles off their enemies' faces!

The Charcoal Decavitator will also be available. Use its Splash Shield[sic] sub weapon to get close and unleash a charged attack. Follow up with the Ink Jet[sic] special to attack players further back.

These two Decavitators have distinctive flavors so choose the one that fits your taste!
