Locations
Stages
The launch of Splatoon 3 came with a total of twelve stages, with seven returning stages and five new ones.
Stage | Description | Release Date |
---|---|---|
Scorch Gorge |
Scorch Gorge is a stage set in a desert wasteland. The area is designated as a national park and is quite popular. It features a large climbable pillar in the center, connecting it to other platforms with grates. It was first shown during the combat section of the first Splatoon 3 trailer.[1] | Initial release |
Eeltail Alley |
Eeltail Alley is a stage set in the center of an old neighborhood, and a popular hangout spot for the youth of Splatsville. A walkway spans the stage, creating distinctive upper and lower layers. This stage was first shown during the second Splatoon 3 trailer.[2] | Initial release |
Hagglefish Market |
Hagglefish Market is a stage based on a busy pier with vendors selling many types of seafood and goods. The stage includes Inkrails and was first seen on August 10, 2022 during the Splatoon 3 Direct. | Initial release |
Undertow Spillway |
Undertow Spillway is a stage based in an underground flood bypass deep under Splatsville. It features several pillars for cover, grate and glass walkways as well as small, rapid height changes with many ramps. This stage was first shown through a Tweet on 17 June 2022.[3] | Initial release |
Mincemeat Metalworks |
Mincemeat Metalworks is a stage based in a metal scrapyard of an abandoned cargo ship, once in the ocean before the water evaporated. This stage was first shown through a Tweet on 4 July 2022.[4] | Initial release |
Hammerhead Bridge |
Hammerhead Bridge has finished the construction taking place in the first game, giving it an upper layer, or “ceiling”, and the grates have also been replaced with concrete. The general elevation has also been lowered. This stage was announced to return on August 10, 2022 in the Splatoon 3 Direct. | Initial release |
Museum d'Alfonsino |
Returning from the first game, the central rotating platform has been lowered, and the rotating platforms near spawn have been removed. This stage was first shown to return during the second Splatoon 3 trailer.[2] | Initial release |
Mahi-Mahi Resort |
Returning from the first game, Mahi-Mahi Resort is set in a large swimming pool at a luxury resort in greater Inkopolis. The stage lowers its water level after a certain amount of time in battle to reveal more inkable terrain. The stage seems to have been modified to a more narrow layout. The stage was confirmed to return on August 10, 2022 in the Splatoon 3 Direct. | Initial release |
Inkblot Art Academy |
Inkblot Art Academy originated in Splatoon 2, set in an arts college in greater Inkopolis. The layout looks fairly unchanged. It was revealed to return on August 10, 2022 on the Splatoon 3 Direct. | Initial release |
Sturgeon Shipyard |
Returning from Splatoon 2, Sturgeon Shipyard takes place on an under construction cargo ship, being built in Inkopolis. The layout seems fairly unchanged, besides the spawn regions seemingly losing turf between the two games. The stage was used to showcase the special Tricolor Turf War mode used during Splatfest. The demo revealed that extra spawn areas were placed in small sidings near the center of the stage. The stage was announced to return on August 10, 2022 during the Splatoon 3 Direct. | Initial release |
MakoMart |
MakoMart returns from the second game, remaining largely unchanged, besides an additional inkrail on the left near the spawns. The stage was announced to return on August 10, 2022 in the Splatoon 3 Direct. The stage icon used in this Direct appears to be the Splatfest variation of the stage, taking place in a darker version of the stage. | Initial release |
Wahoo World |
Wahoo World, initially from Splatoon 2, is set in an amusement park on a coastline, and seems to have an unchanged layout compared to Splatoon 2. The stage was also used to showcase the Salmon Run Next Wave mode “Big Run”, in which Salmonids invade Splatsville. Water can be seen flooding the lower areas of the stage in this mode. The stage was announced to return on August 10, 2022 in the Splatoon 3 Direct. | Initial release |
Salmon Run Stages
Salmon Run Next Wave's first three stages consist of two new stages and one returning one.
Image | Name | Description | Release Date |
