Dualies are one of the main weapon types in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3. They were first introduced in Splatoon 2. Weapons of this type have the capability to dodge roll, allowing for both defensive and offensive maneuvers.

Quotes
“ | Squid Research Lab Ballistics here, back from vacation with a report on dualie-type weapons! These classic dual-wield inkers allow you to press to perform a Dodge Roll while shooting. It's a smart tactical move, and our intern assures me that it "makes you look like a boss." | ” | — @SplatoonNA on Twitter[1]

Trivia
- The dualies' losing animation was changed from the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire version and the official release. The Global Testfire had the Inkling swing the dualies down while looking at them annoyed (if a boy) or looking off annoyed (if a girl); the official release has both of the Inkling genders swing them down and spin one of them around their finger disappointingly, and Octolings have them fold their arms while holding one in their hands.
- In Splatoon 2, there are no Dualies that have the Sting Ray, Bubble Blower, Booyah Bomb or Ultra Stamp as their special.
- In Splatoon 3, so far there are no Dualies that have Trizooka, Big Bubbler, Ink Vac, Ultra Stamp, Killer Wail 5.1, Tenta Missiles, Zipcaster, Triple Inkstrike, Inkjet or Ink Storm as their Special.
