- For badges earned for inking turf in Splatoon 2, see Weapon badge.
In Splatoon 3, a variety of badges can be earned through achievements and playing the game, and up to three of them can be displayed at once on the bottom-right corner of a player's Splashtag.
Badges are awarded for fulfilling certain criteria such as getting 50 Turf War wins, earning 10,000 Grizzco points, defeating DJ Octavio in Return of the Mammalians, or buying everything from Cipher's Siftings. Some badges have multiple tiers, such as 4- or 5-star Freshness on the main weapon. Some Splatfest-related achievements, such as reaching Ruler rank, also reward badges.
Lists of badges
There are currently 593 badges as of version 7.0.0, and the following tables of badges are arranged in the order that they appear in the Splashtag menu. The only exception to this is the Weapon Freshness tables for shooters and blasters, where in the ingame menu, the blasters are displayed between the badges for the Annaki Splattershot Nova and the L-3 Nozzlenose.
Weapon Freshness badges
These badges are obtained for raising a main weapon's Freshness to 4 and 5 stars respectively.

Trivia
- The badges depicting the Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, and Deep Cut are the only ones who share an unlock requirement each.
- In a promotional image for badges, the player has 5★ weapon badges for weapons they don't have the 4★ badge in, which is impossible as a 5★ badge's requirement is an extension of the 4★ badge's.
- As of Version 2.0.0, it is possible to obtain all 4 badges relating to Tricolor Battles during a single Splatfest, as players are not locked to be attackers or defenders.
- In Version 3.0.0, the 4★ and 5★ Splash-o-matic, Sploosh-o-matic, Rapid Blaster, and Rapid Blaster Pro badges were graphically updated, with tweaks made to the weapons' coloring.
- During Fresh Season 2023, the base-level Z+F badge could technically be obtained for free as the catalog during the season only included gear from Z+F, with the total star value equating more than 30 stars, the amount of stars needed to get a brand badge.
- This is repeated in Fresh Season 2024, which includes all the gear from the previous Fresh Season.
- With the release of version 6.0.0, the Salmon Run Next Wave stage badges are now the only badges with the distinction of directly affecting gameplay (now allowing players to begin new shifts at higher base job titles than was previously possible).

Notes
- ↑ For only one such victory, the number 1 is not added at the beginning of the badge's description.
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 These badges are only obtainable during a Splatfest.
- ↑ The 10x badges depicting Shiver, Frye and Big Man share their unlock criteria and are therefore rewarded to a player regardless of their chosen team during a Splatfest.
- ↑ A "Straight" series is any series that ends with 5 wins. The series wins do not have to be consecutive.
- ↑ 5.0 5.1 The Top X Rank badges are awarded to those players who finish in the top positions at the end of each season.
- ↑ If a player finishes in the Top 500 or Top 10 they receive the lower-tier badges too if not acquired before.
- ↑ 7.0 7.1 If a player reached Top 20% or Top 5% they receive the lower-tier badges too if not acquired before.
- ↑ A Splatfest Tee temporarily adds two stars when obtained and can result in players receiving one of these two badges, even though the gear is removed after the conclusion of a Splatfest.
- ↑ The gold badge is currently unobtainable due to Emberz not having enough pieces of gear to reach the required stars. Assuming a player would upgrade each piece of gear to five stars, it would need six items for 30 stars and 20 items for 100 stars.
- ↑ 10.0 10.1 10.2 10.3 10.4 10.5 10.6 Only obtainable if a player purchased the Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass.
- ↑ 11.0 11.1 11.2 Only obtainable if a player has completed Side Order.
- ↑ 12.0 12.1 Orders placed are automatically counted towards badge progress and no purchasing is technically required.
- ↑ Concession tickets are immediately counted towards badge progress upon use and no participation in battles is technically required.
- ↑ A Shell-Out Machine reward is considered a Jackpot if the player received a gold or silver capsule. If the reward is downgraded to a bronze capsule since the player already has all currently available Jackpot banners or title pairs, it will not be counted for these badges.
- ↑ Currently unobtainable, as only a total of 14 jackpot items exist as of Fresh Season 2024.
- ↑ When a new shift begins on a stage, owners of the respective stage's bronze badge will automatically start the shift at a job title of Eggsecutive VP 200.
- ↑ When a new shift begins on a stage, owners of the respective stage's silver badge will automatically start the shift at a job title of Eggsecutive VP 300.
- ↑ When a new shift begins on a stage, owners of the respective stage's gold badge will automatically start the shift at a job title of Eggsecutive VP 400.
- ↑ 19.0 19.1 19.2 If a player is granted silver or gold, they receive the lower-tier badges too if not acquired before.
- ↑ Prior to version 6.0.0, this badge's description was 'Top 50% in Big Run!'
- ↑ From version 6.0.0 to version 6.1.0, this badge's description was 'Got a Bronze Decoration in Big Run'.
- ↑ Prior to version 6.0.0, this badge's description was 'Top 20% in Big Run!'
- ↑ From version 6.0.0 to version 6.1.0, this badge's description was 'Got a Silver Decoration in Big Run'.
- ↑ Prior to version 6.0.0, this badge's description was 'Top 5% in Big Run!'
- ↑ The badges do not actually require hosting a tournament with the described number of entrants, only that the total number of tournaments you host have an equal or greater number of entrants than the badge requires.
- ↑ Anyone added as a Staff member in the Tournament page will also gain progess towards the badges.
