For the main weapon with the same name, see Slosher.

Sloshers are one of the main weapon classes in the Splatoon series.

Sloshers are bucket-like weapons that either hurl a mass of ink that falls on anything below its path, or arc medium- to long-range projectiles straight ahead.

The first weapon in this class, the Slosher, was released in Version 2.0.0 of Splatoon on 6 August 2015.

List of sloshers

Note: The series are arranged by their respective order in the weapon select screen with the Main filter.

Series Description Variants Games

Tri-Slosher
A slosher that throws ink in three directions simultaneously. It has a high fire rate, but lower damage output and range. Tri-Slosher
Tri-Slosher Nouveau

Sloshing Machine
A slosher that launches a small mortar-like glob that is trailed by a vortex of ink. The vortex does splash damage in a small radius, while the glob itself does higher damage, with a smaller hitbox. Sloshing Machine
Sloshing Machine Neo
Kensa Sloshing Machine

Bloblobber
A mid- to long-ranged slosher. Each swing lobs a volley of four, slow-moving "blobs" which bounce along the ground and reflect off of walls. It's the only slosher that can splat in one swing. Bloblobber
Bloblobber Deco

Explosher
A slosher that launches a slow, long-range projectile that explodes on impact with solid surfaces. It has high ink consumption and poor mobility, but in return has strong inking capabilities. Uniquely, the projectile and the explosion deal damage separately. Explosher
Custom Explosher

Dread Wringer
A slosher that sloshes two times in succession, allowing it to cover a wider area with a single swing, or focus one area for maximum damage. It has better range and inking capabilities than the standard Slosher, but at the cost of a lower fire rate. Dread Wringer

Splatoon

Victory:

  • Both genders bring a fist down then pump it into the air, throw their weapon into the air while doing a jumping 360, before catching their weapon and spinning it on their right finger.

Defeat:

  • Both genders throw a fit and throw their weapon up into the air in frustration, leading them to fall to the ground and their weapon to land on their head, making them hold their head in pain and then have a disappointed expression.

In Ammo Knights (Clicking Right Stick):

  • Both genders looks towards the back rim of the weapon, raise the weapon up and tap it twice on the bottom, then hold it in their right hand and look it over.

Splatoon 2

Spawning in before a match starts:

  • Both Inklings and Octolings raise their weapon a bit while briefly smiling.

Victory:

  • Inklings: They spin their weapon on their finger for a moment until grabbing it and dunking it on the ground before sitting on it.
  • Octoling Girl: Has her weapon on the ground and walks around it to kneel down on it at an angle.
  • Octoling Boy: Similar to the Octoling Girl's, but is facing straight forward.

Defeat:

  • Inklings: Both genders hold their weapon in their right arm before facepalming and holding their head, occasionally shaking it.
  • Octoling Girl: Lets her weapon fall to the ground before falling forward while looking towards the ground.
  • Octoling Boy: Same as Octoling Girl except he falls backward.

In Ammo Knights (Clicking ):

  • Inkling Girl: Same as Splatoon.
  • Inkling Boy: Same as Inkling Girl, except he raises the weapon higher.
  • Octolings: Set weapon on the floor and look at it from side to side, put their finger up to their chin as if thinking, before standing back up and returning to idle.

Splatoon 3

Spawner pose:

  • All styles: Stands in a knelt position while holding their weapon.

Victory:

  • Flip Out: Sets the weapon spinning, then grabs it, does a spinning backflip, and poses in a three-point landing with the weapon held behind them.
  • Reppin' Inkopolis: The player pumps their left fist twice. They throw their slosher in the air, catch it, toss it again, balance it on their right index finger, and begin spinning it around.

In Ammo Knights (Clicking ):

  • Inklings: The player will look at the weapon from the side and then into the weapon, then swing their weapon as if sloshing, turn to their left and slosh again, then look at the weapon one more time.
  • Octolings: The player shakes the weapon upside down twice, looks inside of it, then holds their right hand above their head with the weapon balancing on one finger, then bounce it upwards before catching and pretending to slosh.
